Tuesday, September 2, 2008 PAC Opening Reception in LexingtonI enjoyed the Plein Air Carolina opening reception this evening in
Lexington. It was
 held at Arts United  located at 220 S. Main Street. There were 52 paintings representing the works of 13 artists. I have 4 paintings in the  show. The show runs through September 30, so check it out if you have a chance. I'm also taking a life drawing class from Lou Murphy at the Looking Glass Art Collective in Salisbury.

during the month of September. There are 13 artists exhibiting, and I will be showing 4 of my paintings. Sales
are encouraged, so I do hope that goes well. The opening reception will be September 2 from 5-7.
Sat, July 26, 2008 | link Plein Air Carolina After my trip to Savannah, I began painting on Friday mornings with our local Plein Air Carolina group. In case you're wondering was plein air means, it's simply a term meaning to paint in the open air. We've painted at many different and exciting locations. Some are Historic Gold Hill, Hurley Park in Salisbury, Coolomee River Park, and others. On a rainy day, we usually paint at the Waterworks Visual Arts Center in Salisbury. I'll be posting my work from those paint outs soon. It's a great group of very talented artists, and I'm glad to be a part of the group.
